The Military Division of Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for a Process Engineer for their Muncie IN facility. With 15 facilities throughout the US, they are a leader in engineered material solutions that span multiple industries, lots of opportunity and room for personal career growth.** Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. *** They are specifically seeking candidates with U.S. military experience. *Significant experience with extrusion andor thermoforming equipment is highly preferred, and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!Compensation: $80-120KWhat You Will Do:Drive process improvement, root cause analysis and troubleshooting through the collection and analysis of data to enhance materiallabor utilization output rates, set up times, and product quality. Will coordinate long and short-term project identification and execution to achieve goals and objectives. Ownership of primary processes (e.g., cell casting, coating, annealing, mixing, etc.). Ability to problem solve issues as well as plan, design, and execute empirical Design of Experiments (DOE) to ensure repeatability.Optimize process performance using Operational Excellence and Lean management tools and techniques. Drive process improvement, root cause analysis and troubleshooting through the collection and analysis of data to enhance materiallabor utilization output rates, set up times, and product quality. Define and achieve goals, objectives, and projects related to yield improvement, labor optimization, conversion cost reduction and product quality.Evaluate and recommend material and formulation improvements, including cycle optimizations by working closely with process operators and the R&D Lab personnel. Able to plan and execute trials to drive out waste and reduce variation. Ability to make process evaluations and make appropriate recommendations for changes.Contribute to the customer complaint process via root cause analysis, documentation, trials, and confirmation of effectiveness. Engage with customers and commercial representatives to enhance customer satisfaction.Train operational, process, and quality staff on key engineering topics on an as needed basis.Lead projects using standard project management tools and procedures. Ensure compliance with all ISOIMS and Operational Excellence policies and procedures.Education and Work Experience4+ years US Military experience required.BS Degree in ChemicalMechanical Engineering or Physical Sciences or equivalent. Significant practical experience with extrusion andor thermoforming equipment may be considered in lieu of a degree.5+ years operations or engineering experience required, with 3 years preferred in a plastics related industry.Operational Excellence training, andor certifications (Lean, Six Sigma, ISO), strongly preferred.Title: Process EngineerLocation: Muncie INClient Job ID: 510684864
