Controls Engineer

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field2-8 years of experience in programming industrial controls for manufacturing process equipment, robotics, or other automated toolsPLC, HMI, and motion programming skills are requiredAutoCAD and at least one of the following programming languages: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Ignition, etc.Experience selecting components and creating Bill of Materials for equipment projectsKnowledge of Ladder Logic, VFDs, motors, networking and communication protocols, etc.Customer-facing experience is an advantage in this role; otherwise, must be a strong communicatorResponsibilities:Contribute toward the development of custom controls solutions for customers in the life science, food & beverage, renewable energy industriesApply knowledge of electrical systems schematics, P&IDs, flow diagrams to develop machine controlsSpecify materials for new systems buildsHelp in drafting of systems schematics, control panels, process diagrams
