About Ocean Aero:Ocean Aero is an award-winning US company that has created the world's first and only environmentally powered Autonomous Underwater and Surface Vehicle (AUSV.) Ocean Aero's autonomous marine robot, the Triton, operates exclusively on wind and solar energy and performs long endurance missions on the ocean surface with the ability to dive below the waves for underwater operations. The Triton uses a complex array of custom-built sensors, marinized electronics and software systems to operate, sense and communicate in the environment.Role Description:The Director, Program Management will be responsible for the overall coordination and execution of multiple Ocean Aero customer programs. This will include leading customer interactions, managing program performance, cost, revenue, cash flow, schedule, proposal development, and working alongside technical leads on a variety of unmanned technologies.Ocean Aero has a collaborative culture with plenty of opportunities for growth and ownership. As an early member of the team, you will take ownership of the product and your actions will directly contribute to the success of the company. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer of Ocean Aero.Role Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day execution of multiple projects to satisfy cost, schedule, and technical performanceReview project contracts and statements of work to develop detailed work breakdown structuresIdentify, assess, and proactively mitigate risks associated with projects and communicate risk to customer and managementRecognize project scope change and communicate cost, schedule, and technical execution impacts with customer and managementParticipate in bid and proposal activities. Ensure that the customer needs are met and that the technical and costing documents are prepared in a timely manner.Perform business development tasks and identify future opportunitiesRole Requirements:B.S. or B.A. in a related technical field from an accredited university5+ years' experience in program managementBroad technical experience with software, mechanical, and electronics systemsExperience as a technology developer or system integrator of productsprograms for Government customers.Strong experience in leadership, problem-solving, performing analysis and making trade-off decisions, and achieving program and business goalsExperience in commonly used project management strategies and personnel management practicesEffective verbal and written communication skillsProficient with MS Project and MS Office toolsAbility to work closely and build relationships with engineering teams and managementAbility to travel up to 20%US Government position. US Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD US Secret ClearancePossess a valid Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) or successfully pass the requirements to obtain oneSuccessfully pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle screeningRole Preferences:Relevant experience in unmanned or autonomous systemsM.S. in Program Management or other related Program Management certificatesUnderstanding of software development environments and common software languages
