CAE Engineer

CAE Engineer Job Summary: Our client in the Dayton, OH area is looking for a Validation Engineer (CAE). This is a Contract position.The Engineer is responsible for the creating & documentation of modeling plans to the engineering team. They will initiate the new process & tools utilizing FEA & computer engineering programssoftware. The Engineer is responsible for overall development, test, evaluation & proving support for mass production startup based on customer requirements. The Engineer will work in cross functional teams within the organization to deliver project that meet customer and company requirements.· Independent FEA modeling setup & model check to ensure accurate analysis· Create project reports· Project Management· Act as a liason between customer and different groups within the company· Evaluate validation requirement from customer and develop adequate test methods & design jigs· Create test reports and present to customers· Lead product testing and coordinate various activities· Document test procedures, programs and test systems· Other job duties as assigned. Qualifications:· Suspension components· Bachelors Degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering or related areas. Years of experience in place of degree is acceptable.· 3-5 years of experience preferred.· Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)· Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal & written communication· Ability to plan & prioritize· Experience in FEA· Strong analytical & problem solving skills· Experience with Catia V5, Hypermesh, Nastran and Abaqus· Experience with Metal Fatigue· Blue print reading skills, 2D and 3D drawings
