Carolina Legal Associates has an immediate need for a medical records review specialist for a law firm in the Charleston, SC area. The medical review specialist will assist paralegals and attorneys by reviewing and compiling medical and pharmacy records required for specific cases. The medical review specialist will use their organizational skills, attention to detail, and Case Management system knowledge to ensure all client- and case-related documentation is quickly available to the legal team to aid in their success. Sample Responsibilities: Download, save, and organize case-related medical and pharmacy recordsReview records and other documentsEnsure that case information and requests are documented properly in file management systemReview medical and pharmacy records from facilities either directly or through a third-party vendorComplete medical chronology and organize records, identifying and ordering missing recordsEnter findings into the Case Management system accurately and in a timely manner.Qualifications:Must be deadline-driven, highly organized, and exude a positive professional demeanor with a variety of peopleAttention to detail & self -motivatedOne (1) to four (4) years of progressive work experience in a law firm or comparable field preferredKnowledge of medical terminology andor medical field experience strongly preferredStrong communicationinterpersonal skills, with the ability to follow-up without directionAbility to work more than 40 hours per week if necessaryAll resumes are held in strict confidence.Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
