PreferredLicenses and CertificationsRadiography - ARRT RequiredLicensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA RequiredAdvanced Registry in CT is preferred.Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire.Summary of what you will doPerform diagnostic computed tomography procedures utilizing a pressure injector and administering contrast under supervision.Prepares and positions patient for diagnostic computed tomography procedures. Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.Determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.Assists radiologist in examinations.Measures and mixes contrast media for oral consumption.Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.Performs venipuncture for injectionsCall is a requirement of this mitted to the growth and development of staff, we empower your journey to pursue excellence with confidence and competency.
