Launch Engineer

Role: Launch Engineer Location: Minth facility @ Lewisburg TN Duration: Full Time Perm Bilingual: English & Korean SUMMARYThe Launch Engineer will facilitate engineering change as well as work with the team to establish best solutions and feasibility. The Launch Engineer will perform cost analysis, time studies, stock management, ECN validation and break point management.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCollect and understand the needs of the plant, including materials, process implementation, automation, error proofing, equipment, floor layout and labor; amongst other responsibilitiesAnalyze the program investmentAs a representative of the plant, participate in reviewing drawingsmath data, processes, toolingequipment designIdentify and cultivate means to avoid risk in program developmentUnderstand the tech specification of the new equipment investment to ensure equipment and layout will be ready and efficient for productionLead equipmenttooling buy offManage the in-plant tuning, tooling and equipment plan (floor layout, utility supply, and people support management); track open issues listOrganize the plant for preparation of materials, labor, production planning, production line, and WIP racksPlan the trail productions and sample submissionsAssist the team to resolve the issue from trial production, achieve the capacity, appearance, dimension and cost targetUpdate the documents to production version, including, Control plan, WI, PFMEA, Flowchart etc.Assist the PPAP process to get PSW approval KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience required10+ years of Launch experience required, preferably in an Automotive Manufacturing environmentKnowledge of materials (plastics and metals) preferredMust have automotive interior and exterior experience, preferably with plastic injection, two shot injection, roll forming, stamping, and aluminium extrusionStrong technical ability with knowledge of materials and manufacturing and assembly processesA high level of self-motivation for actionStrong communication, presentation and organization skillsAbility to directly interact with customers while providing a professional imageGood interpersonal skills
