Job Title:Vice President of FinanceExperience:CPAPublic Accounting Manager LevelReal Estate Investment and Management Job Description:The Company is seeking a qualified Vice President of Finance interested in career progression with an established diverse investment operating company headquartered in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Applicants should have a minimum of 8-10 years of public andor private accounting experience including investments and real estate. The Vice President of Finance will have responsibility for all accounting functions of the company, including but not limited to responsibility for the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of internal and external financial statements, project budgets, monthly project reports, job costing and pro forma, and financial asset and cash management for all projects. Additionally, this position is responsible for reviewing and developing company accounting policies and procedures and maintaining an effective system of internal accounting controls. This position will be responsible for treasury functions including cash flow management, forecasting and control. The ideal candidate will have experience in loan procurement and compliance as well as proficiency in investor reporting and production of investment collateral materials. Other responsibilities will include working with the company's independent accountants in preparation of tax returns and having primary responsibility for the effective use and development of accounting software solutions. The position is an important part of the company's management team and will be expected to provide strategic leadership and coordination in the areas of financial planning, financing, insurance, asset management and risk management, and budget management decisions.Desired Skills:• Highly organized with excellent time management skills• Confident and self-directed with the ability to effectively maintain professional relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts; sensitive to the perceptions and mindsets of others• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write and edit independently at a level appropriate to audience, to include presentations at the executive management level• Logical reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems; attention to detail• Thorough understanding of financial controls and reporting in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources• Working knowledge of budgeting and recording of Real Estate Operating Expenses and producing Year End Expense Statements and resulting Reimbursements and reconciliations.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms such as Word and Excel.• Working knowledge of.
