Senior Engineer - Experimental HemodynamicsAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Engineer - Experimental Hemodynamics to join our Advanced Imaging and Hemodynamics Group. In this role, you will be responsible for development testing execution, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. Your primary focus will be on hemodynamics test planning, test articlefixtures build, instrumentation setup, and test execution in support of transcatheter heart valve (THV) product development and R&D initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Plan and execute experimental hemodynamics and optical flow visualization tests at our advanced imaging and hemodynamics test facility.Manage test scheduling and execution to meet project deadlines.Build and instrument test articlesfixtures with precision and ensure high-quality standards in physical test setups.Coordinate parts fabrication with internal and external suppliers as directed by the model design team.Author and co-author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Installation Qualifications (IQ), Test Method Validation (TMV) Protocols & Reports, and Design Verification (DV) Protocols & Reports.Support data acquisition, post-processing, and analysis using MATLAB and LaVision DaVis.Ensure safety compliance and risk management for all test setups and execution.Troubleshoot flow instabilities in closed fluid loop systems and ensure the reliability of test results.Minimum Qualifications:Graduate degree (Thesis-based Master's or Ph.D.) in Engineering or Applied Physics with a focus on Experimental Fluid Mechanics.Proven publication record in Experimental Fluid Mechanics (digital copies will be requested for evaluation).Hands-on expertise in 2D2C Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) within LaVision DaVis.Experience in MATLAB-based data post-processing and analysis.Proficiency in SolidWorks for CAD modeling.Strong hands-on skills with testing flow instabilities in closed fluid loop systems and assembling physical components.Technologically inclined with competency in Windows-based programs.Strong problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work efficiently under pressure.Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience with flow instability testing in closed fluid loops using PIV techniques, including test article build and execution.2+ years of experience in instrument setup and data acquisition on test articles.Passion for structural heart hemodynamics and related technologies.Experience with CT-driven anatomic model terest in utilizing your attention to detail for solving complex technical challenges.Additional Information:Work Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Monday-Friday.Overtime: Occasionally required as necessary.Travel: No travel required.Remote Work: Not available for this role.
