Required Skills & Experience:Must have completed or be actively pursuing an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in EngineeringMust be willing to work night shift Plusses:Experience in an AUTOMATED manufacturing environment, with a focus on process engineering, process optimization, or equipment maintenance.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.Certification in process technology or process engineering.Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the industry (e.g., ISO standards, OSHA regulations).Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and machinery. Familiarity with process control systems and software.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including CAD software, data analysis tools, and process simulation software.Job DescriptionA partner of Insight Global is looking for a 3rd Shift Process Engineering Technician to join their team. The Process Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure the production of high-quality products. This role involves working closely with process engineers and production teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and maintain equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Support: Assist process engineers in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency and product quality.Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to production processes, including measurements of flow rates, temperatures, pressures, and other key process variables.Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues in the production process, working with the engineering team to resolve problems and implement corrective actions.Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting changes to processes, equipment, or materials that could enhance efficiency, reduce costs, or improve product quality.Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and repair of production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of process parameters, equipment performance, and any changes made to the production process. Prepare reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that processes consistently produce products that meet quality standards and specifications.Training: Provide training to production staff on new or revised processes, procedures, and equipment operation.Safety Compliance: Ensure that all processes are in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments as needed.Prototype Testing: Assist in the testing and evaluation of new processes, equipment, and materials during the development of new products or process enhancements.Hourly Compensation: $24.00hour - $32.00hour +10% shift differential Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
