Cost Analyst This exciting role will be responsible for conducting and overseeing analysis activities, directing and assisting with estimates of initial and ongoing costs of products and projects, and tracking cost changes throughout the entire product and project lifecycle. A solid understanding of building cost models, management, and financial business operations will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Montesano, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance pumping and mixing equipment used for various municipal, industrial, and agricultural applications. If you are an individual who loves to work in cost analysis, this role could be for you!Responsibilities:Conduct and review cost analysis by assessing material, labor, and overhead costs incurred in the production or assembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and finished productsPerform detailed variance analysis of actual financial results versus plan, forecast, and key performance metricsMaintain variable cost files and pricevolume variance analysis by productEvaluate the cost-effectiveness of products and projectsExamine data to help reduce costs in all operationsCoordinate with the sales team to prepare estimates and bids for clientsPrepare BABA and IRA audit informationUtilize and maintain records and documentation of production costs, performance against established standards, and other related metricsEstablish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the manufacturingCollaborate with Operations to maintain the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize productionAnalyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitabilityWork with Operations and Purchasing to develop policies to increase efficiencyWork with purchasing to identify changes in raw material and other purchasing costs to target contract negotiations Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, finance, engineering, or equivalent experience3-5 years of relevant Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, or Program Management experienceExperience building cost models, analyzing cost trends, and assessing opportunities and risks for new or early-stage product developmentCapability of translating analysis results into business recommendationsExcellent managerial and financial skillsThorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas of business operationsProficient with Excel spreadsheets, SQL software, and systems and MRP systemsComfortable with decision-making and problem-solvingSkilled at cost estimates and cost analysis with an eye for detailExperience with takeoffs, variance analysis, and change ordersSalary Range:$80,000-90,000 depending on experience
