Senior Civil Design Engineer

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in driving successful project outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:Client Relations: Foster strong, professional relationships with clients.Site Plan Design: Lead the design and development of comprehensive site plans, including all associated report preparation.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet state, municipal, and county guidelines and agency requirements.Approval Process Management: Facilitate the approval process across multiple agencies, including engineering cost estimates and coordination with outside design professionals.Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior engineers, guiding them through site plan design and approval processes.Collaborative Communication: Coordinate with land use attorneys, clients, and municipal and state engineering teamsRequirements:10+ years of experience in land development, civil site plans, and drainage design.Proficiency in AutoCAD and drainage software (e.g., HydroCAD).A passion for mentoring and developing younger engineers.Ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders and navigate complex approval processes.Licensing: NJ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Desired Qualifications:Strong background in drainage and hydrology design.Experience testifying before Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Adjustment.
