Job Title: Research and Development Engineer - Large Engine Systems DevelopmentLocation: Peoria, ILDetails: 12-month contract with ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire, Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite with 5 days weekly onsite requirements at timesPay rate: $35.00 - 38.00hr. with benefit inclusionsJob Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Research and Development Engineer to join our team. This position will be working with large engine development for new and existing product introductions. The primary objective of this role is to execute data analysis requests, which may include data studies, condition monitoring content creation, dashboards, or other project work. The ideal candidate will be fully engaged with team activities and contribute to the overall success of the group.Responsibilities:Execute data analysis requests, including data studies and condition monitoring content creation.Develop and maintain dashboards and other project-related work.Code engine health algorithms and perform data mining to validate these algorithms.Conduct data mining and analysis to support product problems.Collaborate with team members to discuss results and refine tasks based on findings.Participate in daily team meetings, both in person and virtual.Years of Experience and Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.2-4 years of engineering experience (combination of internship experience and hands-on work experience).Formal analytical or statistical training is a plus.Engine experience is desired.Skills Required:Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in coding with Python and SQL.Mechanical aptitude and vocabulary.Creativity and ability to work as a team player.Good verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail.
