Lab Technician (Pharmaceutical)Location: Novato, CA (On-Site)Pay Rate: $28.00-$32.20HR (Annual of $69k-83k depending on shift)Must be open to 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd shift1-year w-2 contract role (Strong potential to extend or convert to FTE)Positions may be 5 x 8 hour shift, 4 x 10 hour shift, 3 x 12 and 4x12 hour shift. Manufacturing operations are 247, so this requires multiple off shift coverage. Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k benefits are provided.Job Duties: Learn biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes including mammalian cell culture, depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, column chromatography, protein purification, and formulation of bulk drug substanceOperate large scale bioprocess equipment for the Cell Culture and Purifications operations.Prepare buffer and media solutions.Gain experience with automation systems (LIMS, MES, PI, etc.)Work with PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, and Western Blot TechniquesEducation & Experience:Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or degree that had lab requirements ORAssociate degree in a science-related area or Biotech certificate with 2+ years of experience in a Biotech manufacturing environment or other regulated industryPCR experience is a plusPrior undergrad experience in a lab or research setting is a plus
