Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:The manufacturing engineer develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying manufacturing methods to implement solutions and decrease production issues and increase quality.  The ideal candidate for this role has relevant experience with semi-trailer, heavy truck, agriculture, automotive or heavy construction product design. Success in a collaborative and fast-paced environment will help this team member thrive. This is an in-person role, located in Boise Idaho. Essential Job Responsibilities:Identify, problem solve and support highest priorities related to production delays and quality issuesEvaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layoutTranslate between the engineering and manufacturing teams, to support collaboration and progressConfer with engineering team to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical informationAssure product and process quality by designing testing methodsAdditional duties as assignedMinimum Requirements & Experience:5 years of experience working with 3D parametric CAD software Success training others in a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience with mechanical systems and mechanisms, structural, hydraulic, semi-trailer components, i.e., suspensions, electrical systemsStrong problem-solving, analytical, written and oral communication skillsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
