Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer

Our client is the global leader in their space and have an outstanding culture predicated on compensation, benefits, and employee satisfaction.POSITION OVERVIEWLead Industrial and Process Improvement initiatives in an effort to improve plant KPI'sParticipate in equipment specification, selection, layout and installation.Maintain list of equipment suppliers. Identify new suppliers and verify capabilitiesSupport cross functional departments within the manufacturing facility providing technical expertise and leadership.Develops and establishes best manufacturing practices, standards, processes, procedures and assures their effective implementation and on-going review.Evaluates equipment, operational sequences, and material flows to determine employee job functions and identify opportunities for automationWork to improve product quality, reduce scrap, and improved machine uptime by implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.Candidate will be provided with a fair amount of autonomy as it pertains to lean projects, Six Sigma methodology, etc..Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline2-5+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.Strong working knowledge of World Class Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodology, etc..
