Sonic Manufacturing Technologies, Fremont CA USASonic Manufacturing Technologies ( ) is seeking an Electrical Engineer (EE) with several years of experience in PCB Design, Electronic Component selection, related documentation such as Datasheets, Engineering Change Notifications, Bills of Material, Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and product data management systems; whether "Agile" or "ERP".Sonic manufactures hardware for the Silicon Valley. We serve over 100 Silicon Valley OEMs; buying, building, testing, and shipping products on their behalf. In this role you will review engineering data, manage for timeliness and accuracy, update the factory planning and control systems; and communicate with other departments as needed.You will gain exposure to hardware designs from a broad cross-section of industries: Medical, Industrial, Test, Instrumentation, Microwave & RF, Consumer, Wearable, Flight, Drone, Robotic, Autonomous and AI. Customers often include labs, incubators, startups, mid-tier production accounts and several of the Silicon Valley "Top 10" whose brands you know. With your knowledge and experience, you will periodically support and mentor young engineering teams in their first forays into hardware manufacturing.Core Responsibilities:Managing data from Agile and Arena PLM and other customer portalsMaintaining engineering data, configuration management, revision, effectivity, terpreting product structure for factory execution; such as MBPX, and unit of measureStandardizing part descriptionsIdentifying part marking data for receiving and factory inspectionsReviewing datasheets for questions on technical performance and sourcing equivalency Answering questions for supply chain & operations related to component procurement and useInterpreting schematics in support of functional testingProviding technical support to program managementBeing the primary contact to component manufacturers for tech supportPerforming other responsibilities as requiredQualifications:Bachelors in Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent 3+ years' experience in electronic hardware design, manufacturing, andor testHands-on performance in several of the core responsibilities listed aboveA passion for hardware product development & manufacturingPersonal initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communications skillsWork well with others at all levels of the organizationCommunicate and resolve problems openly and professionallyA lifelong learner who wishes to work with like-minded experts in their chosen fieldsSonic manufactures electronics at speeds unparalleled in the industry by offering a work environment focused on performance, reality and problem solving.
