Role: Control System Engineer (Mitsubishi)Location: Liberty, NC (Housing Assistance provided)Job Type: ContractDuration: 12-18 monthsRate: $45-$50 per hourWe are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and commission industrial control systems, PLC software, and HMI interfaces within the Automotive industry for a project in Liberty, NC. This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize automation solutions on-site.If you enjoy problem-solving, working with cutting-edge automation technology, and traveling to customer locations for system integration, we want to hear from you!Mitsubishi GxWorks PLC and HMI Programming experience is a pre-requisite for this position.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and program PLC and HMI systems from the ground up for industrial automation projects.Develop, install, debug, and commission PLCHMI code at customer sites.Program peripheral devices and industrial controls, ensuring smooth system integration.Oversee machine PLC programming, power-up, and validation with build and electrical teams.Ensure all systems meet customer and DyAG build specifications using standard methodologies.Travel to customer sites for installation, troubleshooting, and system startup.Required:3+ years of experience in Controls Engineering PLC programming.3+ years of hands-on experience with Mitsubishi PLCs (Q series using GxWorks2).Ability to write ladder logic and develop PLCHMI code from scratch.Experience with Mitsubishi drives and integration.Prior experience in automotive manufacturing integration.Familiarity with customer-defined standards and templates for programming.Proficiency with fieldbus networks such as DeviceNet, Ethernet IP, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc.For more information about this Control System Engineering opportunity, please apply or contact Jack Smillie at for a detailed discussion.Many thanks,Premier Group
