General Description: The service analysis and performance monitoring intern will make significant business contributions by applying analytical and statistical techniques to develop solar performance analysis tools. You will be expected to work with the existing operational data in CPS extensive fleet as develop new predictive or analytical tools and models. This position demands strong technical and communication skills as you work will involve collaboration with several departments within service operations. Based on the level of experience, interns will be expected to present their experience with the company in a technical presentation and report at the end of their internship.Length: This is a 10 - week (30 - 40 hours), paid internship that will start around the first week of June. Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze performance on solar site operations and routinely identify performance improvement opportunities. Analyze asset performance against site expectations when needed. Data collection for asset performance analysis. Ensure quality control of the dataset, checking for errors manually and automatically. Expected to perform lab activities: assemble and dissemble of the units, board analysis and after repair testing. Analyze behavior of the units in the lab using simulation techniques to evaluate real life operation issuespatterns. Support the development of standard business processes and reports for our operating fleet to ensure uptime and simplified workload. Maintain relationships with service operation team, enabling successful site operation by providing timely performance analysis and escalating issues and opportunities identified. Work as a part of a team, supporting and leading initiatives to enhance the group capabilities and performance. Additional duties might be required. Qualifications: Undergraduate in analytical discipline (Engineering (ElectricalMechanical), Data management, Operation research) - (Junior or Senior preferred) Master's degree in analytical discipline (preferred but not required) Understanding of Microsoft products. Competency in analytical problem-solving, strong communication, customerpartner relationship and technology expertise.
