Manages the sales and business development functions of the company from a high level, setting the tone for how business is to be conducted by subordinates.Works with direct reports and others throughout the organization to help them develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to be successful. Maintains a network of key contacts and leverages those relationships to expand knowledge and understanding of the market.Essential Functions10 % Leadership: Leads the sales team in alignment with the purpose, vision, and values of the Manatt Family of Businesses by modeling the way as a servant leader, setting the example for all others to follow. Provides vision, inspiration, and influence to ensure all team members understand, accept, and integrate best practices. Invests time in self-development and growth.20% People and Culture: Works with direct reports to develop Performance Management Plans and to implement any necessary Performance Improvement Plans. Recruits, hires, trains, and develops the best talent available. Monitors and maintains a deep bench. Ensures a highly engagedenabled and aligned workforce by being a visible and vocal advocate for servant leadership.40% Business Management: Develops and deploys sales strategy. Supports direct reports by providing the tools and training necessary for success. Monitors progress on projects and metrics from the annual business plan. Works with other leaders to leverage data to make smart business decisions. Executes Business Plans, Scorecards, and Financials.10% Strategic Planning: Participates in the development and implementation of the company's 5-year strategic plan. Monitors progress toward stated goals and provides guidance toward their completion. Stays up to date on economic factors that could impact market area.20% Networking and Relationships: Develops and invests time in relationships with peers outside of and within the Manatt Family of Businesses. Serves as point of contact in relationships with key customers.
