Quality Engineer

Our client is looking to identify and hire a full-time Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality interface and expertise within the business unit, establish and maintain quality management systems (ISO-9001 and AS9100D), which include the ongoing improvement and sustainment of current business operations, including manufacturing support, inspection and test, supplier monitoring, and customer support that ensures customer satisfaction through quality.The Quality Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:Assisting in the development of departmental processes, document control, and goals with compliance to AS9100D, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of process improvements throughout the organization. Ensuring manufacturing adherence to procedure and developing inspection documentation for receiving, in-process and final inspection. Assisting in reviewing internalexternal non-conformances, and coordinating corrective action responses to prevent recurrence. Responsibilities will also include monitoring supplier performance and coordinating governmentDCMA inspections.Requirements:BSBA in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other equivalent engineering degree preferred.Minimum 3 years in an ISO9001AS9100 QMS or other regulated manufacturing environment. Experience with GD&T and use of metrology instruments.Processing of non-conformances and CAPA.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong MS Office Suite skills required.Previous work experience with military products andor DOD preferred.Experience in Material Review Board.Experience in preparing First Article Inspections, AS9102.Due to ITAR compliance, must be a US Citizen.
