Come change the world with us.The Senior Systems Technician is accountable for the creation, design, operation, and maintenance of mid voltage (ResponsibilitiesDesign, lay out, and assemble test setupsWork with external vendors to source components and assembliesSchedule and prioritize work across the team as well as with external contractorsPerform mechanical sub-assembly and assembly work utilizing basic hand tools such as screw drivers and wrenches, written instruction sheets, blueprints, and fixturesInstall wiring into enclosures, which includes routing and fastening of wire to structure using wire ties and cable clampsFollow detailed work instructions andor documents which include electrical wiring routing and drawings, written and digitalUse appropriate measuring tools, equipment and measuring techniques to verify first piece acceptancePerform preventative maintenance work on machines, tools, and test equipmentTest components against specification and performance requirementsKeep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipmentServe as a key member of the engineering team, always assisting others while remaining committed to quality resultsProvide guidance and mentorship to junior techniciansProvide expertise and advice in team meetingsAdditional responsibilities may be assigned at any timeKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong familiarity with tools and concepts related to electrical systems and panel assemblyEffectively communicate with clients and fellow employees both verbally and in writingAbility to perform basic and complex geometric, algebraic, and trigonometric mathematical computationsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to complex and practical situationsKnowledge of drafting, design, and layoutEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associates or technical degree in electrical, systems, or similar preferred.8 years of experience, or combination of education and experience requiredTravelLocal TravelWorking ConditionsOffice Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, andor operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; andor assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
