The start date is ASAP for this 6-month contract position.Job Title: Structural EngineerLocation-Type: Hybrid in Cary, NC (3 daysweek onsite)Start Date Is: ASAPDuration: 6 monthsCompensation Range: $25-30hr W2Job Description:We are seeking a Structural Engineer I to join our client's Engineering department in Cary, NC. This role involves performing structural analyses on communication structures and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Review requests for engineering services and generate required reports.Analyze existing and proposed tower structures, mounts, and foundations using hand calculations and analysis software.Prepare detailed reports for modifications on projects of low to medium complexity.Collaborate with Designers to resolve discrepancies in modification drawings.Review tower inspections and prepare engineering documentation for remediation.Maintain accurate system data for reporting purposes.Provide timely and accurate support for inquiries within assigned responsibilities.Other duties as assigned.Must-Haves:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.1+ years of experience in:Communication tower design and analysisConstruction or field engineering of steel structuresStructural engineeringBasic knowledge of structural analysis and CAD software.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Nice to Haves:Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern certification.Familiarity with TIAEIA-222 code and other relevant specifications.Active membership in a professional organization or technical society.Experience with structural analysis software.Ability to work collaboratively across different functional groups.
