We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in the mission critical, commercial, government, and industrial sectors. Key responsibilities include:Business Development: Proactively identify and engage new customers, including integrators, contractors, and end users.Consultative Sales: Provide expert guidance on represented product lines, helping customers find the best solutions for their needs.Proposal & Documentation Management: Collaborate with the inside support team to create proposals, submittals, and order documentation in alignment with company and vendor standards.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders through personal visits, project involvement, and industry networking.Product Knowledge & Competitive Edge: Continuously learn and refine knowledge of product and service offerings, ensuring a strong understanding of competitive working & Industry Engagement: Actively participate in industry events to foster new business relationships and maintain a pulse on market trends.Strategic Meetings: Organize and facilitate "lunch-and-learn" sessions with customers and subject matter experts.Project & Bid Awareness: Stay informed on project bid cycles, key decision-makers, and preferred partnerships.Negotiation & Sales Execution: Establish pricing strategies and identify flexible solutions to successfully secure purchase orders.CRM & Data Management: Maintain accurate customer and pipeline information in the company's Salesforce CRM.Professional Representation: Uphold the company's reputation with integrity and excellence in all business interactions.Accountability & Follow-Through: Take ownership of responsibilities, be proactive, and remain responsive to customer needs.QualificationsProven sales experience with a demonstrated ability to articulate effective selling strategies.Residency in Maryland, Washington D.C., or Northern Virginia is required.Strong ability to learn and apply new concepts, processes, and technical knowledge.Familiarity with critical power distribution technologies, such as busway, rack PDUs, RPPs, PDUs, and UPS systems.Willingness to travel frequently within MD, DC, and NoVA, with occasional overnight travel (less than 10%) outside the territory.
