This organization is seeking a Field Engineer to join their team. The Field Engineer will support project execution by overseeing on-site construction activities, coordinating with internal and external teams, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role is integral to maintaining project efficiency and achieving key milestones. Focus: Assist in developing construction schedules aligned with overall project timelines. Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely pre-construction deliverables. Support contract development and vendor management processes. Prepare construction work plans and facilitate pre-construction meetings. Monitor field activities to ensure alignment with project specifications and timelines. Verify construction layouts, review design compliance, and coordinate with engineers as needed. Track and manage subcontractor performance, submittals, RFIs, and payment records. Contribute to project reports, progress tracking, and issue resolution. Support change order and claims management processes. Maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders, including subcontractors, consultants, and project personnel. Enforce workplace safety protocols and best practices. Identify and resolve unforeseen site conditions affecting project execution. Participate in pre-bid and construction meetings. Assist in quality assurance processes and permit coordination. Support project close-out procedures in collaboration with all relevant parties. Skill Set: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution. At least 1 year of construction engineering experience. Familiarity with federal safety regulations, including OSHA compliance. Understanding of project controls, including cost tracking, estimating, and forecasting. Experience with scheduling methodologies such as critical path analysis; knowledge of Primavera P6 is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
