Our six state-of-the-art North American facilities are serving our country with the shortest delivery.We need individuals who want to share in the pride we take in ensuring American manufacturing continues to flourishJob Description: Final Assembly ManagerPosition: Final Assembly ManagerLocation: Virginia Transformer CorpReports To: Plant ManagerPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Final Assembly Manager to oversee the final assembly processes at Virginia Transformer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transformer assembly and demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide and manage production teams. This role will be responsible for ensuring product quality, meeting delivery timelines, and optimizing assembly operations.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and Manage Final Assembly Operations:Lead and manage the final assembly teams, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.Oversee the installation of components, electrical wiring, and final testing of power transformers.Quality Assurance:Ensure all final assemblies meet customer specifications and quality standards.Collaborate with quality teams to address any non-conformance issues.Production Scheduling:Coordinate with production planning teams to prioritize and schedule work orders for timely completion.Monitor workflow and adjust resources as needed to meet production deadlines.Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for final assembly processes.Team Leadership:Train, mentor, and develop the assembly team to ensure high performance.Monitor team performance and provide feedback to improve skills and productivity.Safety and Compliance:Ensure a safe working environment by promoting safety protocols and conducting regular inspections.Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Collaboration:Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to resolve issues and support product development.Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure on-time delivery.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.Experience:Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in final assembly operations, preferably in transformer manufacturing.Strong background in the assembly of medium and large power transformers.Skills and Competencies:Extensive knowledge of transformer components, assembly techniques, and testing requirements.Proven leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.Proficiency in using production planning and management tools.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):On-time completion of final assembly tasks.Achievement of production quality metrics.Reduction of assembly errors and rework.Implementation of process improvements and efficiency gains.Safety performance and compliance records.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.Collaborative and innovative work environment.Join our team at Virginia Transformer and play a critical role in delivering high-quality transformers to our customers while driving operational excellence in the final assembly process.
