We are actively hiring a full-time Electronic Test Technician to support production and meet testing schedule demands. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge catheter-based technologies and life-saving medical products directly contributing to patient safety and product performance.Position Title: Electronic Test TechnicianShift: 1st Shift | 7 AM - 3:30 PM (subject to production needs and potential OT)Hourly Pay: $28 - $32 per hour (based on experience)Benefits: Comprehensive package availableLocation: Irvine, CANote: Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs. Shift times can vary.Position Overview:As an Electronic Test Technician, you will be instrumental in evaluating and testing medical devices, ensuring their quality and conformity to engineering specifications. You will perform various electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical technician duties to inspect, test, and calibrate products, while collaborating with engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve testing methods. Your work will ensure the high performance and safety of cutting-edge healthcare products.Key Responsibilities:Knowledgeable in ACDC electrical currents, electronic principles, and testing methodologies.Product Evaluation & Testing: Perform standard tests and contribute to the development of new test methods for medical device evaluations using tools such as multimeters, micrometers, flow meters, and pressure gauges.Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis: Diagnose complex electrical and mechanical failures, analyzing issues and providing recommendations to prevent recurrence.Collaboration with Engineering: Work alongside engineers and other laboratory team members to address design, reliability, or yield issues. Assist in the development of technical reports and root cause analysis.Test Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain testing tools, fixtures, and equipment to ensure reliable and precise measurements.Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all evaluations are properly documented following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and regulatory requirements.Propose Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to improve testing methods, equipment design, and processes to enhance product evaluation.Prototype Design: Assist in building prototypes and lab test fixtures based on sketches, verbal instructions, or written designs.Safety & Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards, maintaining a clean and compliant work environment.Minimum Qualifications:2-5 years of relevant experience in testing, troubleshooting, or product evaluation (preferably in medical devices, aerospace, consumer electronics, military equipment, etc....).Strong proficiency in electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, flow meters, etc.).Ability to read and interpret work order instructions, testing repair manuals, engineering drawings, blueprints schematics, and SOP's.Proficient in PC-based software (Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools).Ability to work in a regulated environment and follow safety protocols.Additional Requirements:High School diploma or GED with related experience and training.Ability to work from blueprints and technical specifications.Ability to collaborate with engineers in a Research & Development environment.Flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed, with varying shift times depending on project requirements.Why Join Us?This is a long-term opportunity offering stability, career growth, and a chance to work with industry-leading medical technologies.
