We are looking for a skilled Director of Finance to join our team and help manage our wholesale partnerships.This role helps to manage the functions of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Finance. Working directly with our CFO, you'll make sure that we have timely and accurate financial data to guide both day-to-day and long-term operations. In addition, you'll design and implement systems, processes, and controls ensure that all spend remains within budget and in line with company financial targets.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate the flow of orders, shipping status, payment collection, account reconciliations and management reporting pertaining to the wholesale business, retail and ecommerce divisions.Manage the accounting function and assist with finance operations including financial reporting, tax, APAR, and cash management.Ensure timely and accurate month-end closes, with the ultimate goal of implementing continuous close protocols to provide real-time financial data.Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations of each Balance Sheet accountReview and approve month-end journal entries relating to payroll, commission, inventory, prepaid, accruals, reserves, and deferred.Maintain near-term weekly cash flow forecasts.Create, maintain, and enhance business policies, accounting policies, and financial controls.Liaise as needed with Planning & Supply Chain team to ensure accurate inventory & COGS accounting.Partner with other functional teams, including Marketing and Merchandising teams, to develop policies and procedures to ensure timely and accurate accounting in connection with novel company projects and initiatives.Proactively identify areas to reduce costs, increase income, and improve operations.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA preferred.2+ years of public and private accounting experience.Prior experience with apparel, retail, e-commerce or other manufacturing and inventory-based business model strongly preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Quickbooks Online. Prior experience with Shopify and with IMS or ERP systems strongly preferred.Top-notch project management and process design skills. Passion for optimization.Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Notes:This position will require a hybrid in office role at our spacious offices and warehouse in Plainview, Long Island NY.
