The role of the Costing Analyst is to support and develop accurate product costs and to provide the necessary follow up within the organization. Working knowledge of product and process is required. Need to support in the data collection of regional projects and corporate initiatives, with the potential of bringing business perspective to the data.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Costing Analyst is responsible for development of product cost: material usage, material cost, equipment requirements, labor requirements, cycle times, tooling and capital requirements for new business or changes to current business;Review complex bill of materials for reasonablenessReview manufacturing assumptions for reasonablenessDevelop risk opportunities summary with each quoteCommunicate Educate the organization regarding the cost data.Plant Rate DevelopmentSet targets of purchased items.Support Purchasing negotiations.Support regional and corporate initiativesAbility to bridge financial dataActively contribute to departmental initiativesprocess improvements to enhance the overall department's effectiveness.Qualifications:Four Year College Technical Degree (Finance, Business, or Engineering desired), MBA desired.0-2 years' experienceExperience in the Automotive Industry, seating a plus.Spanish language skills is a plus.Good computer skills, i.e., MS Office, especially Excel.Proven Interpersonal and teamwork skills.Occasional travel requiredCustomersCustomer GroupsPurchasingInternal SalesOperationsProduct GroupsEngineering
