Performance Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEWNorthCoast Asset Management, a Division of Kovitz Investment Group is looking for a Performance Analyst to join our team in our Greenwich, CT office. The role is responsible for taking ownership of the cleanliness and reliability of the separately managed account performance of all composites and clients. This role will also provide ancillary support to the operations team. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task and experience in the financial services industry.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProactively research and resolve account-specific calculation issuesCalculate account, benchmark, portfolio, and composite investment performance monthly in accordance with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)Assist in the automation of performance monitoring and cleaningLiaison with GIPS auditor to annually verify performanceParticipate in the enhancement of operations platform, trading platform, infrastructure, and technologyAssist in the correcting of data in portfolio accounting systemMaintenance of internal tools for performance disseminationPREFFERED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A positive attitude and high energy levelProactive communication and follow-up.Experience in performance calculations at an asset management firm with separately managed accountsMust have experience with performance reporting systems preferably SS&C Technologies SylvanProficiency with portfolio accounting systems preferably SS&C Technologies Global Wealth Platform (GWP) is a plusTechnical skills related to at least some of the following areas: performance calculation, resolving performance calculation issues, operations, investment performance measurement, GIPS, composite managementWorking knowledge of Microsoft products, especially ExcelProficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python or VBA is a plusStrong attention to detailsAnalytical and problem-solving mindsetAbility to multitask in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environmentADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATIONJob Type: Full-TimeCompensation Structure: Base Salary + BonusReports to: Senior Vice President, Business and Operations Risk Number of Direct Reports: naLocation: Greenwich, CTMonday to Friday in office
