Manufacturer in the Gloucester, MA area is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic recent graduate to join our growing team as a Manufacturing Engineer. Related internship experience is necessary.Responsibilities:Assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes.Support the improvement and optimization of existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges.Conduct time studies and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.Assist in the design and fabrication of tooling and fixtures.Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve flow.Gain experience with CADCAM software and other relevant engineering tools.Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Related internship completedStrong interest in manufacturing and a desire to learn.Solid understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Basic knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.Hands-on experience with machining, fabrication, or other manufacturing processes is a plus.Demonstrated project experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects is highly valued.
