Infinite Electronics Inc., a global supplier of electronics components and subassemblies, is seeking to fill a Product Engineer position This position is responsible for developing and qualifying new products as well as maintaining technical support for current products, this includes working with vendors to make sure products meet and maintain our technical requirements. The qualified individual should have proven experience in High-Speed (800G and above) Fiber Optics Transceivers for the Datacenters market. The Product Engineer will deliver high-quality services to Integra Optics customers providing technical and solution-oriented support. This position reports to the Engineer finite Electronics' brands include Pasternack, Fairview Microwave, L-Com Global Connectivity, MilesTek, Aiconics, Polyphaser, Transtector, Integra Optics and Show Me Cables, and NavePoint.This is the opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Product Development Engineer to contribute to the growth of the Fiber Optics transceiver business in the Datacenters market and have a strong impact. To succeed at Infinite, you mut embody Infinite's Hedgehog behaviors of Positive Urgency, Accountability, Ownership, Same-Day Responsiveness, Collaboration, and Solution Orientation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Help develop and ready for market High-Speed Transceivers for DatacentersAssist the Product Development team in development of new productsSupport sales for technical questions on customer calls and site visitsStay current with new technologies in the Fiber Optics industry and Datacenters marketWork with customers on project-oriented solutionsDevelop and qualify new transceiver products Create and maintain technical requirement document for customer and vendorTroubleshoot transceiver product issues and work with the vendors to resolve themCreate transceiver coding bin files and maintain the product databaseDevelop a strong relationship with sales team to increase support for key customersOwnership of lab maintenance and development plan to support new product developmentParticipate with the Engineering team in identifying area for improvements and standardizationOwnership of the Engineering data sheet creation and maintenance processWrites technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to illustrate operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineers in broader determinations affecting product design and laboratory procedures.Key RequirementsAA AS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science5 years minimum experience in configuring Fiber Optic transceivers, including OEM platform requirements10 years minimum experience with networking platforms: Cisco, Arista, Juniper, NokiaAlcatel Datacom network experience, with network certification (CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, etc.) an asset Experience using electronic test equipmentCustomer facing technical andor sales support experienceMicrocontroller programmingExperience with printed circuit boardsRead and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructionsKnowledge of essential computer systems Mechanical and electrical aptitudePreferred RequirementsBS in Electrical Engineering or Computer SciencePON experiencePersonal Traits and Characteristics:Excellent communication, both written and verbalMust be organized and detail oriented, reliable, dependable, diligentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, under time constraintsStrong ability to follow up and follow throughExcellent interpersonal skillsMust have good time management skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilityThe successful candidate shall exhibit a sense of ownership, urgency, be solution orientated, collaborative and accountable.Physical Job Requirements: Sitting: Must be able to sit for a minimum of 4 hoursWalking: Throughout the facility on a continuous basisLiftingCarrying: Must be able to lift 25 lbs.Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.Vision: Corrected 2020 vision requiredTalkingHearing: Must be able to communicate on the telephone.Environment:Infinite Electronics currently employs a hybrid schedule, work-from-home rotation.
