QualificationsBachelor's degree in Interior Design or a comparable degree from a CIDA-accredited university3+ years of commercial furniture design experience OR 7+ years of commercial design experienceProficiency in AutoCADPreferred experience in CET andor CAP 2020Experience in specification, project management, andor professional certifications (NCIDQ, WELL, LEED, etc.) is a plusResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of junior designers (2-3) by assigning projects, providing training, conducting audits, leading team meetings, and performing quarterly performance reviewsOn-location workdays are highly preferred to support mentorship and training; hybrid arrangements may be negotiatedTake the lead on mid-to-large-scale projects, including new business development, bids, and existing client workCollaborate with A&D firm partners alongside the sales team to foster relationships and oversee project executionEngage directly with clients or work in coordination with the sales team, depending on project needsTravel for in-person client meetings within the designated service areaDevelop client deliverables, including 2D plans, 3D color renderings, presentations, and project documentationWork cross-functionally with other departments to ensure project success from initiation to completionGenerate accurate specifications, budgets, and quotes for clientsStay up to date with industry trends and advancementsAxios Professional Recruitment - an entirely employee-owned company - is the largest independent employer in West Michigan.
