Our highly trained team works hand-in-hand with organization's worldwide - including more than 80% of Fortune 100 companies so if you're looking for a business that can offer you real career opportunity and progression, get in touch today and let talk about how we can fast track your career!About the Role - The main priority for this role is to Provide leadership, vision, and management to the local engineering team and act as strategic business member of the leadership team.ResponsibilitiesBuild and lead an agile and responsive team responsible for any and all engineering inquiresAssist in establishing departmental goals, objectives and operating proceduresDevelop engineering and architectural (RCPFloor Plan) drawings, calculations and acoustical modelingReview pre-construction design and documentationAssist with technical design, pricing and identify any logistical challengesCustomer liaison for engineering inquiresMeet with vendorsprospective vendors to help evaluate productsPost sales project consultationReview project designs created by internal and external resourcesReview hour estimation for work based on needs analysis, scope of work and bid requirementsIdentify special requirements for project, including but not limited to: test equipment, specialized tools, rigging supportProvide feedback to corporate and development management on process improvement opportunities and facilitate process improvementTest audio DSP or video processing systems software required for system functionalityMonitor and ensure labor expenditures do not exceed department budgetManage internal activities that support client trainingManage or facilitate field testing of integrated systems and training client on useRemain abreast of AV advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organizationTranslate customer requirements into functional system designsCreate and maintain engineering related documentation in accordance with company guidelinesEducation andor Experience:Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, B.S. degree in ElectricalComputer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferredAt least 10 years of AV experience with 4 years of Engineering Management experience referredCapability of managing multiple million dollar budget integration projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oritented, collaborative environmentExperience operating a complex matrix business environment is desirableExperience with planning, implementing and managing the activities of an engineering workforce through recruiting, training, scheduling and best practive techniquesExcellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft applications including MS ProjectValid Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standardsRequired SkillsProven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives with a results-oriented approachDemonstrated leadership and management skills in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentProven ability to mentor, educate, and develop members of the teamStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organizationUnderstanding of engineering aspects of audiovisual systems design and installation preferredAbility to motivate and effectively lead large project teams comprised of technical, administrative, and engineering personnel toward a common goalUnderstanding of construction project management applied to audiovisual projectsDirect Reports: This position can have anywhere from 13-15 direct reports.Why work for AVI-SPL (what's in it for you) - As we have already mentioned, AVI-SPL are the global leaders when it comes to universal communications, and we make sure our work environment matches our status.
