Railroad Construction Inspector

Overview:AI Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Railroad Construction Inspector for a Metro-North station renewal project in Naugatuck, CT. The ideal candidate must have railroad station platform reconstruction experience, preferably with Metro-North projects.Key Responsibilities:Conduct inspections on railroad station platform reconstruction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.Oversee construction activities, including track work, structural improvements, and ADA compliance upgrades.Review contractor work, perform daily reporting, and document construction municate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and transit authorities.Ensure that all work adheres to Metro-North and regulatory guidelines.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience in railroad station platform reconstruction, preferably with Metro-North or similar commuter rail projects.Strong knowledge of railroad construction practices, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.Familiarity with MTA, Metro-North, or other transit agency standards.Ability to work in a field environment, conduct site inspections, and ensure construction compliance.Strong communication and documentation skills.Relevant certifications in railroad construction inspection (preferred).Compensation:$60hrCommuting costs may be covered for the right candidate.
