Building Inspector

Building InspectorWe are seeking an experienced Building Inspector to join our team in the Area of Fairfield, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a range of trade-specific inspections on both commercial and residential buildings, as well as managing specific projects related to code compliance and quality assurance.Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive code inspections on a variety of building types, including commercial and residential, in accordance with the International CodesPrepare detailed written and electronic inspection reports, issuing notices of correction as neededEffectively explain and interpret applicable building codes, regulations, and quality control requirements to clients and stakeholdersRecognize, evaluate, and resolve unique problems or situations that arise during the inspection processMaintain excellent customer service relationships with clients, contractors, and the general publicAssist the inspection management team with business development activitiesUndertake other related duties as assigned by the ManagerQualifications:High school diploma or GED; additional technical training, certifications, or a degree in a related field is preferredValid Texas driver's licenseMinimum 2 years of experience conducting field inspections on construction projectsICC Commercial and Residential Inspector certificationsTexas Plumbing Inspector licenseProven experience in quality assurancequality control and project managementExcellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skillsWorking Conditions:Primarily field-based work, with some time spent in the officeAbility to work in all weather conditions and exposure to construction site hazards, as per OSHA regulationsFrequent travel within the assigned geographic area to conduct inspections and manage projectsBureau Veritas is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we recruit, hire, train, and promote individuals in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, citizen status, sexual orientation, genetics, status as a protected veteran, or any other non-job-related characteristics.If you meet the qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
