If you are found to be a strong candidate and the company agrees to proceed with an interview, I'll be happy to share the details with you.Please let me know if you have any questions!Key Responsibilities:Oversee procurement and planning activities to ensure a continuous supply of materials.Manage and mentor a team of buyers, planners, and purchasing staff.Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize material flow and supply chain processes.Negotiate prices and delivery terms with suppliers.Maintain accurate supplier records and resolve discrepancies.Implement and improve purchasingplanning systems and processes.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).Implement methodologies like PFEP, Kanban, and Pull Systems for efficient material flow.Requirements:4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.5+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience, including 2-3 years of leadership experience.Experience in commodities buying (coiled steel preferred).Strong background in supply chain and inventory management, including ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).Certification in Supply Chain or Inventory Management (CPSM, CPIM) preferred or commitment to obtain.Six Sigma or Lean training preferred.
