Our specialized experience includes design for data centers, healthcare, science and technology, high-rise buildings, clean energy, education, and other building types as well as structural and building sciences, infrastructure asset management, advanced robotics, and more.Our technical expertise is paired with an exceptional team of business development, human resources, finance and accounting, information technology, and marketing professionals, all of whom play a key role in bringing our commitments to life every day.Job Summary:The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of various electrical systems, including but not limited to medium and low voltage power distribution systems, facility lighting designs, grounding, fire alarm, and datacommunications within industrial manufacturing and utility infrastructure this role, you will:Oversee projects from conceptual design through completion, working with other engineers and design team membersPerform project site visits which include client interaction meetings as well as gathering field data required for the project designPerform electrical engineering calculations utilizing various engineering software platformsLayout and design of medium and low voltage electrical distribution systemsInteract with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) throughout the design processLayout and design of facility lighting and lighting system controlsSpecial Systems (Fire Alarm, DataCommunications, CCTV, etc) design, layout, and vendor coordinationDesign systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC - NFPA70)You will be a great fit if:You have 5+ years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of industrial manufacturing facilities and utility infrastructure spacesYou possess a Professional Engineering (PE) license or are willing to pursue obtaining your PE.You are proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT is essential, but not requiredYou have working knowledge of electrical engineering software platforms (SKM, EasyPower, etc)Location: Evansville, INEqual Opportunity Employment StatementSalas O'Brien provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, colour, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, stateprovincial, or local laws.
