This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact debt servicing activities, from trade confirmations to complex financial analysis.Principal Responsibilities:Process daily trade confirmations and settlements for Discount Notes and Bonds (COs).Wire transfer funds to pay principal and interest on COs and net settlements with related entities.Perform various debt servicing tasks, including rate resets, bond call notifications, account and transaction reconciliations, and debt retirements.Address inquiries from dealers, investors, and relevant parties concerning debt service activities, including payment calculations and pending settlements.Monitor daily cash management activities and balances to avoid incurring overdrafts.Provide analysis of debt service activities, including past trends, current activities, and business intelligence insights to support management's decisions on process improvements and risk mitigation.Assist management in performing risk assessments and control evaluations for debt service.Support business initiatives and projects, including story development, backlog refinement, and testing.Assist internal and external auditors and regulatory examiners by providing requested itiate or approve transactions related to accounts payable and payroll functions.Provide backup support and cross-train team members as needed.Contribute to the organization's diversity and inclusion initiatives by following policies that ensure equal opportunities for employees and diverse business partners.Perform other duties as assigned.Principal Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field, or relevant work experience.3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in capital markets, banking, financial services, or a related industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word) and business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI).Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to resolve problems and address discrepancies under tight deadlines.Capability to listen to diverse perspectives, build respectful relationships, collaborate with others, and manage conflicts constructively.Ascendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.Ascendo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, parental status, military service or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
