Then we have a great opportunity for you at Suburban Hospital located in Bethesda, Maryland!Security Officer - SergeantPosition Summary:To ensure the safety and security of Suburban Hospital staff, patients and visitors through adherence to department policies, procedures and directories, effectively executing duties and responsibilities, maintaining and utilizing successful interpersonal and customer service skills.Educational Requirements:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)ExperienceRequirements:Previous hospital security experience of 2 years required.Valid Driver's License with clean driving record history with no more than 2 points.May have to work other shifts as necessary. 30-day notice prior to any shift change.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong interpersonal, customer servicepublic relations skills.Ability to report to work on time using reliable transportation.Good communication abilities required to include (verbal and written command of English)Able to make decisions, work independently and as a team player.Possesses good driving background and employment history records.Ability to assimilate, apply and learn new functions, skills, policies and procedures.Ability to maintain critical thinking skills.Ability to deal with crisis situations and to initiate interactive skills and restraint techniques.Ability to identify, recognize and respond to potential violence in the workplace issues.Ability to become CPR and Basic First Aid certifiedShift:Full-Time (40 hours per week)Evening ShiftWeekend work requiredNon-ExemptWe have a robust benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, 401K.
