With a design-forward approach and a commitment to excellence, Business Interiors partners with clients to transform workspaces into functional, aesthetically driven environments that align with their vision and needs.About the RoleThe Market Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving sales growth, operational efficiency, and team success in the Jackson, MS market. This individual will oversee the Sales, Design, Installation, and Procurement teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and high performance. The role requires a strong sales leader who can mentor and develop the sales team, generate new business, and maintain a personal book of business. Additionally, the Market Manager will play a vital role in networking, community engagement, and strategic business development, partnering with senior leadership to expand market presence. This position offers a blend of hands-on leadership, sales strategy, and operational oversight, making it an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, client-focused environment.Responsibilities:Maintain and grow a personal book of business while driving new revenue opportunities.Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to improve performance, meet KPIs, and close more work in the Jackson, MS market to build relationships, generate leads, and promote Business Interiors.Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive market growth and meet sales targets.Represent Business Interiors at industry events, client meetings, and community engagements to enhance market presence.Oversee daily operations of the Sales, Design, Installation, and Procurement teams, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.Work with leadership to track profitability, manage financial performance, and align operations with company goals.Mentor and guide team members, fostering a positive, high-performing, and inclusive workplace culture.Collaborate with senior leadership to align local operations with company-wide goals and strategies.Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency across all departments.Drive team accountability and performance through clear communication, regular feedback, and effective goal-setting.Qualifications:5+ years in a leadership role (General Manager, Market Manager, Sales Manager, or similar), preferably in design, commercial furniture, office interiors, or related industries.A proven ability to drive revenue, through an existing book of business and by actively securing new business.Strong mentorship, coaching, and leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.Track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.Proficiency in CRM systems, project management tools, and financial reporting.Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage executive-level clients, vendors, and partners.Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Business, Project Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.Ability to travel as needed within the Jackson, MS market and occasionally to other locations (Memphis, TN other MS sites).This is a full-time, in-person position offering an annual salary, sales commissions, full benefits, and an amazing work environment with an exceptional team.
