Process Engineering ensures optimal production conditions, prioritizing safety, quality, and performance. Through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, process engineers identify process gaps, apply problem-solving methods, propose improvements, and drive technological innovations. Adherence to standards like OSHA, IATF, and MOS guides the achievement of these goals.What does a day in life look like?Comply with Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems guidelines (Responsibilities and authorities) currently applicable to the area and the entire plant.Ensure that current processes are safe and ergonomic for team ply with the internal control guidelines of your area (audit and update practices and procedures). Respond to internal and external audits.Review and take actions to optimize process capacity.Seek continuous process improvement (productivity and profitability) through the application of engineering principles (Process redesign, new technologies, etc.)Create, update, and execute manufacturing standards. (JSA, PFMEA, Control Plan - With Quality, Work Instructions, etc.) - For this position will be required the CQI9 - Special Process: heat Treatment System Assessment 4th EditionRespond to the shopfloor need in process abnormalities (T-cards process)Process performance monitoring, problem identification, analysis of causes, and solving operation problems (safety, quality, productivity, waste, and savings) using problem-solving methodology.Coordinate (lead meetings) with specialty teams to solve problems and carry out improvement projects and engineering changes.Research new technologies and develop new applications to the processes that may improve overall performanceCollaborate, lead, or support in the designimplementation of new products, engineering changes, or processesRole Current ChallengesUnderstand the current standard work and keep that updatedPropose and Implement improvements to enhance the capacity and efficiency.Support key projects.Lead the Section Room (Specialty Level).Lead the process capacity analysis and mitigate results.Work and mentoring problem-solving analysisExperience & Technical SkillsManufacturing, Process Engineering, Roll-forming process for High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) Steel, Heat treatment processes for HSLA Steel, Plasma Cut processes, Automotive, Industrial Processes, Metallurgic.Knowledge of customized products, steel parts and manufacturing and Quality in Commercial vehicles manufacturing processes.Certified Mechanical Engineer or Industrial Engineering desirableTPS, LEAN* CertificationMinimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry, working in the manufacturing process of HSLA Steel for frame rails of commercial vehicles in manufacturing.Lean manufacturingManufacturing ProcessesProject management2D software drawing (Drawing, Reading)Geometric and Dimensional Tolerancing (desired)Tools for Problem-solving.Core Tools (control plan, FMEA)Desired knowledge in paint processesKey Skills:Teamwork • Communication • Negotiation • Story Telling • Leadership • Customer Focus • Perseverance • Problem-solving • Interpersonal savvy • Conflict Management • PlanningWhat is in it for YOU?
