Job Summary:Under the direction of DeltaHawk's Quality Manager, the CMM ProgrammerOperator is responsible for accurate and efficient dimensional inspection, testing and documentation of aircraft engineclose tolerance machinedcomponents and assemblies.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities listed below. Other duties may be assigned.Write CMM programs and provide operational support for engine R&D, FAA certification, and production receiving inspection using quality standard procedures and best practices to document repeatable and accurate inspection resultsSupport and developefficientoptimized CMM utilization through fixturing, nesting and other techniquesPerform final dimensional or mechanical inspection of parts, components, sub- assemblies, and assemblies for conformance to drawings and engineering specificationsAnalyze and interpret blueprints, routings, evaluation sheets,manuals and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments requiredWork closely with engineers to define and implement inspection methods on new products during developmentClean, maintain,repair and ensurecalibration of measuringinstruments and test equipment.Document and report non-conforming materialsPerform completefirst article inspection on components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to FAA requirementsSupport effective mentoring and training of junior CMM Operators and Quality Technicians by direct interactions and by example,consistent with DeltaHawk's Corporate Culture statement and valuesRequired:High School Diplomaor GED from an accredited institutionDemonstrated proficiency programming and operatinga CMM with PC-DMIS software - (minimum 3 Years experience)Demonstrated advanced experience in inspection practices and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), certifications of conformance, chemical and physical analysis reports, and test reports (5 Years experience preferred)Solid verbal and written communications skillsAbility to providetechnical support and training to Junior CMM OperatorsMS Office Excel skills and computer file managementMust be able to lift 40 lbs to work bench heightPreferred:Demonstrated proficiency and best practices for programmingsetup and operation of common inspection equipment such as: comparators, vision systems, micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, pins,thread gauges, ring gauges, and other common inspection toolsDemonstrated proficiency usingSolidworks Inspection softwareto create balloon prints and FAIRsExperience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 systemExperience in an Aerospace or close toleranceinspection environmentWorking Conditions:Work will primarily be performed in a metrology lab maintained to environmental conditions for temperature and humidity consistent with industry standards for measurement accuracy. Periodically assignments may require work be performed in a production area or at a supplier,requiring the use of PPEs determined appropriate for the environment by the residentauthority.
