In this position, you oversee the operations of the construction site, from planning to completion. You are responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, coordinating sub-contractors and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.Principle AccountabilitiesEnforce safe work practices including OSHA standards and companyclient safety programs Develop project workplans, maintain 3-week look-ahead scheduleCoordinate on-site subcontractors, consultants, and vendors Hold weekly job site meetings to coordinate work and proactively address issuesManage submittal processMaintain daily logs and construction progress photosEnsure all project work and materials supplied by any vendor fully comply with project plans, specifications, applicable laws, permits, and codesConduct quality control auditsMitigate risk to both Nexus and the client organizationReview, interpret, and assure work complies with design drawings, product literature, and applicable codes and regulations; communicate deviations to the Project ManagerManage the work to meet or exceed construction industry practices, processes and standardsEnforce project site schedule to ensure timely and quality completion without incidentsMaintain field officeEnsure the project site is consistently clean and organized Serve as the primary point of contact onsite to owner Required QualificationsAssociates or bachelor's degree in construction management or related trades experienceA minimum of 10 years' experience in construction managementProven ability to manage complex projectsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to operate with integrity and empathy, and build lasting trust-based relationshipsSelf-directed and highly organized in approach to workAble to hold self and others accountable to drive projects forwardDemonstrated knowledge of codes and construction practicesComputer skills with competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and BluebeamExperience reading and interpreting plans and specificationsAble to travel approximately 30-50% of the time and accommodate flexible schedulingPreferred QualificationsCertification such as OSHA and CCMSafety trainingProcore proficiencyExperience working with K-12 facilities, programs, and priorities
