A well established logistics company in Spring, Texas (North Houston) is looking to hire a Logistics Engineer. We are a dynamic, privately held company looking to hire an experienced Logistics Engineer. Our specialty is tranporting oversized bulk cargo. Responsibilities:This position is responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines of transport projects including loading configurations, lashing plans including calculations, applying for rail clearances and working through routing challenges. You will ensure projects meet safety, quality and regulatory standards while adhearing to budget and time constraints. This position is also responsible for identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.Expectations:Responsible for delivery of all technical drawings on timeServe as the promary technical point of contact for customers and vendorsMaintain accurate railroad clearance data Collaborate with various departments to verify dimensions of rail cargoCreates all drawings required for current rail and heavy haul projects including side view drawing, tie down drawing, front view drawing and weld strengthVerify lashing and securement plans to ensure they meet customer and industry standardsAssist and support Rail Project teamRequirements:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related fieldComputer literacy in AutoCAD, internet research skills, MS Office, PC Miler, Google Maps, Google Earth and SharePointFamiliarity with rail industry standards and regulations is preferred but not requiredProfessional communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentCritical thinking skillsOrganized, detail oriented and a self-starterIf you meet the requirements outlined, please apply to this post andor send your resumeAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
