Position Details:Job Title: Quality EngineerDepartment: QualityPay Scale: $29hr to $34hrDuration: 3125 - 5125 (2-3 month assignment)Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pmPosition Scope: Analyze battery inventory to ID & prioritize product for testingMaintain the lab equipment and staffing levels to meet desired customer needsSchedule the inventory moves and lab prioritiesQuality Engineer will be Customer focus and Quality mindedDevelop & revise Quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions & other quality documents.Maintain database of sample measurements and data collectionsDevelop inventory tracking & decision tree for dispositionLead and attend meetings with upper management to provide updates as neededrequestedWork cross-functionally with engineering, quality, inventory, etc... to establish specs and controls for certain inventory itemsOccasionally serve as a technical resource to troubleshoot problems.Create, monitor and closeout NCMR, SCAR, and 8D reportsStay current on battery regulations, technology, and safety practices.Point of contact in the DC for battery and other tightly controlled productsFollow and participate in all safety procedures initiativesEducation and Experience RequirementsAbility to work with large amounts of data using- Excel, Power BI, SQL, etcOversee a small team of Techs & Contract laborFamiliarity with electronics and data software desirableBachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)Ability to interpret written test methodsprocedures and complete controlled experimentsUtilizing exploded diagrams and blueprintsAbility to work under reduced supervisionMust be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projectsMust have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word. PowerPoint and OutlookDesired:Knowledge of basic metrology methods and equipmentKnowledge of warehouse management systemsExperience with Lithium Ion battery charging system methods and test environments.
