Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead product development efforts, from concept to market release. This role involves planning, designing, and re-engineering products while ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead the full development cycle of new products, including concept creation, design, and modifications to existing products, while meeting scheduled release dates.Become an engineering expert in our industry, driving innovation and continuous improvement.Develop plans to optimize manufacturability, cost targets, lead time reduction, and component standardization across new and existing products.Ensure designs align with the company's core strengths and competencies while complying with safety and liability standards.Evaluate and improve existing designs, assessing feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed changes.Establish and oversee prototype testing processes to minimize warranty claims and enhance product reliability.Create detailed and accurate Bills of Material (BOMs), technical drawings, and specifications for fabrication and assembly.Collaborate with teams to coordinate design efforts, including the development of safety decals and operating instructions.Support prototype builds and provide guidance on jig and fixture fabrication to ensure smooth production transitions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Experience with QRM (Quick Response Manufacturing) processes in low-to-medium volume production.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on design optimization.Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.Strong integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive company information.This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive product innovation and efficiency in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
