Director of Project Finance

The client is a utility scale developer led by a team with over a decade of experience building utility scale projects. They have a robust pipeline of projects in development and looking for a talented Director of Project Finance to report to the CEO. Key Responsibilities:Develop and oversee comprehensive financial models and analyses for major projects, including cash flow projections, ROI calculations, and risk assessmentsLead the evaluation of project financing options, including debt structures, tax equity, and other funding structures Establish and maintain relationships with key financial partners, including banks, investors, and other financial institutionsOversee due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, tax, and accounting teams on project-related mattersDirect the development of project budgets and monitor actual performance against forecasts, implementing corrective actions as neededPresent financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-makingBuild a team Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred10+ years of project finance experience with a demonstrated ability to close transactionsExperience with complex debt and equity financing structuresExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and leadership abilitiesCandidate is preferably based in Los Angeles or San Francisco. However, remote candidates will be considered as well.
