Job SummaryAs an Area Manager for Personal Training, you will be the driving force behind the success of personal training programs across multiple club locations. Your primary responsibility is to develop and mentor personal trainers, helping them reach their fullest potential. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to ensure a high-performing and motivated personal training team. You will take ownership of all aspects of personal training operations, creating a culture of excellence while fostering strong connections with both members and staff.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of personal trainers, ensuring they receive continuous professional development and guidance.Assist the Vice President of Operations with assigned tasks and initiatives.Build strong relationships with members to grow and enhance the personal training program.Drive brand awareness both inside and outside the facility.Oversee trainer scheduling and ensure timely follow-ups with municate effectively with employees, leadership, and members, maintaining a positive and professional approach.Address and resolve member concerns with tact and professionalism.Provide weekly upskilling, coaching, and constructive feedback to the training staff.Stay informed on industry trends and share relevant updates with the team.Evaluate trainer performance, offering actionable feedback for improvement.Maintain personal training equipment and workspace in excellent condition.Collaborate with other departments, particularly Member Services, to enhance program offerings.Promote best practices in the fitness industry and ensure staff are well-trained.Exhibit a high level of professionalism in attitude, communication, and performance.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Primary Skills & RequirementsMinimum 3 years of management experience within the fitness industry.Nationally accredited personal training certification (required).CPRAED certification (required).Strong leadership and team-building skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.High-energy, self-motivated, and outgoing personality.Ability to work flexible hours as needed.Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operational manuals.Strong mentoring and coaching skills, with a focus on sales training for personal trainers.Experience supervising and guiding fitness professionals to achieve performance goals.Use of eye scan technology for recording time worked.Not eligible for remote work - this is an on-site leadership role.This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven leader to make a significant impact in the fitness industry.
