Lead Substation Electrical Engineer

Metric Geo are partnered with a leading organisation to find an experienced Lead Substation Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work on major energy infrastructure projects in a hybrid role that offers flexibility and clear career growth.We are looking for someone who can take the lead on substation design projects, covering distribution, subtransmission, and transmission voltage levels. You'll oversee technical aspects, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with clients and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Lead substation design projects, including physical design and protective relayingcontrol.Manage project schedules, resources, and coordination.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Conduct QAQC reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to drive project success.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in substation design (Physical & P&C).PE license preferred.Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and regulations.Excellent communication and leadership skills.What's on Offer:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Hybrid work model - mix of remote and in-office work.Opportunity to work on high-impact, innovative projects.Career development and professional growth opportunitiesThis role is based in Bloomington, MN.
